If there is one thing about cuckoo bees that is positively brilliant, it is their eyes.  The genus Triepeolus does not disappoint with beautifully vivid green spotted spectacles.  This and the smily faced pattern on their thorax makes them easier to identify than many other bees.  They are nest parasites of long-horned bees.
